When it has came down to media these days, we honestly prefer to get it from the net, off of sites like Rhapsody and Napster, instead of the old-fashion way, by getting it through CD's and albums. That remains as asad note, that most of us because of its compatability, we'd definitely choose Ipods more today, than we did nearly 5 or 6 years ago. Still, knowing where to go to for the best in CD Players, Sony still knows how to deliver, and this is the reason why.

The Sony DEJ011 is a simple and easy to use CD Player that does a excellent job at not just playing our favorite CD's but those that we choose to get from our MP3's off the internet. It is simple to use, and with a simple push of a button, plays very well, without all the hastle and waste of battery life from most MP3 Players. I like it because it works like a charm, and the compatability holds absolutely strong today, with its Anti-Skip G Protection, that has still remained a constant into Sony's delivery. The price also hand-delivers strongly.While it might be inexpensive as a MP3 Player, its playback remains flawless.

All in all, I absolutely recommend the Sony DEJ011, not just because it is a great CD Player, but one of the very few companies that still knows how to make the strongest in CD Players, for all music lovers everywhere. There are very few companies that still are making great ones, and Sony still has that eye on the ball. If you still want a great CD Player instead of a MP3 PLayer, go to Sony, and go to the DEJ011 model.

Have used this player for several months and am quite happy with it. It's a bit bulky for listening to books at the gym, but it does fit in my pocket.

My only criticism is that the batteries don't last very long, and it's inconvenient to change them while walking on the treadmill.

Would like to buy a second player, but the price has gone up significantly. Also, am learning that books on CD are becoming a thing of the past. -- Good portable CD player

A bit difficult to get to the batteries. A pen or some tool to pry the batteries out of the holder is not a show stopper for me. Sound is good. Battery life is good. It works well enought for me that I would buy it again. -- Nice little player

It's incredible but this player has better sound quality than three of my earlier high end players [the alloy/thin type]I like all the controls being on the device itself as against them being on a remote controller which is too fiddly and always getting in the way.The controls are pretty basic,but who really uses all those extra features much anyway?At least you're not going to have to trash it when the lithium battery wears out as in an mp3 player,neither do you have to find a computer to recharge it.I own several mp3's including a Sony "S" type which has the best sound for heavy metal so far,but it still can't match the lossless sound quality of a cd or even a cd/r.You just don't have that megabass richness for,to take an example, base guitar.[a cd/r of Dimmu Borgir's Stormblast or Opeth's Deliverance sounded quite awesome on this player]The player is quite bulky,but I suppose the reasoning went like this...why try for small and thin when the punters can go for an mp3 player if that's what they're into.The supplied earphones sounded pretty reasonable,but I attatched a pair of more expensive Sony MDR-ED21LP Fontopia In-The-Ear Headphones for even better sound quality. -- Awesome
