The piece that covers the end of the cord that plugs into the iPhone broke within a couple months, exposing the wires. I tried to snap it back on, but it didn’t work. It was too late to return it, and it continued to power the phone, so I held onto it for a while. But the cords continued to weaken without their protective covering, and finally one snapped, and the charger no longer works. The cord didn’t get a lot of wear and tear — I didn’t carry it around with me, and it was on a table in my home. It should have lasted far longer!

The provided cable is sufficient for charging your iphone/ipod/etc – it will not connect that device to your computer e.g., for itunes usage. For me, that’s not a big deal – I just want to charge my phone. If you have a data cable, you can plug it into this wall charger. Like I said in the title, the charger and the cable are both high quality. The tilt feature on the wall charger is very smart.

Love having the 6 foot cable, and the swivel AC charger.
One word of caution, the cable is for charging only; it is NOT a data cable.

Much considered thought went into the design and function of this Belkin product.
First, I appreciate the long cord because I can comfortably use my iPhone for an extended period of time while it is charging. The transformer is pleasing to the eye and hand — not bulky and has nice lines. The 110 Volt outlet “prongs” swivel
to make it better to pack in a suitcase without poking or snagging things. The
cord seems to be well engineered in that it is thick and sturdy. The white color of the entire unit is nice. I prefer it to ivory or black. I bought a few. I keep one at home, one in my office, and one in my suitcase. Buy this with confidence.
