I purchased this case for my 2nd Gen iPod Touch after reading the reviews. It arrived quickly and I was really happy with it. It really is a hybrid between a skin and a case. There was one issue I had though. There was a small black spot on the clear part of the case. It was really small but it was a little annoying so I emailed Shade Cases and they sent me a new case that day. Great customer service!!!

My Shade just arrived after less than a week of shipping. The thin plastic case is a little less rubbery than i had originally expected. Because of the thin nature of the case i can’t foresee it preventing major damage from drops. It’s purpose is more to protect your ipod from scratches while still being able to use all the functions.
The only reason i didn’t rate the product 5 stars is because the case doesn’t include a hole for the power button or the volume buttons. I heard from a comment that the case stretches eventually allowing you to use both those functions but so far i’m unable to press the power button, and the case keeps playing with the volume button. A solution to this problem i’ve heard is to take a exacto knife and cut two slits over the respective buttons. Not sure whether i’ll need to do that seeing as the case has only been on one day but if it turns out that’s needed, its not a hard fix.
Besides those two small problems the case works perfectly. I got the midnight black because i was skeptical on how good the colors would look. However, my brother got a teal one and it seems that the colors are very cool. I’ll be ordering a different case shortly.

This product does mostly what it’s supposed to: it protects your entire iPod touch. It does so by taking the shape of a sleeve: there is basically a large cut at the bottom of case that allows you to push the iPod up into it. That cut is also the only opening in the case, meaning you have to push through the case itself in order to access the buttons on the top, side, and front.
This is the first feature I didn’t like.
The other problem I had is the clear screen protector; it sticks to the screen in several spots (but not everywhere), which distorts the picture, and after all, what could is protection if you can’t use your device to its full potential?

I got this case to replace a silicon case that I had before. Here are some pros and cons about the case.

Over all a GREAT case with lots of protection!!

I ordered a shade for my Ipod Touch 2G and could not be happier with my decision. Prior to the shade, I had a rubber case for my Ipod and, while it was a decent case, I am much happier with this product, than I was with my old case. First, it covers the entire Ipod, not just the back and sides. Instead of having to purchase additional screen protection, I now have a product that protects my entire Ipod in one shot. If you’re worried about the screen cover hampering the ability of your Ipod/Iphone to recognize your touch, you shouldn’t. I have not experienced any problems with the ability of my Ipod to recognize touch. Also, it doesn’t effect my ability to pick up a wifi signal, which was a problem with my rubber case. The back of my shade is semi-transparent, which is nice because I like the way my Ipod looks. With my old case I only saw the rubber case itself. The case is very slim and only increases the size of the Ipod by a fraction of an inch. At the same time, I feel as though the shades case is very durable, so that, if I am to drop my Ipod, I can feel fairly confident that the damage will be relatively insignificant. The shade also has enough “grip” to make holding on to the case worry free. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product. It fits well, protects well, and looks good. The shipping was extremely fast and relative to comparable products, my shades case was reasonably priced. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants high-quality protection at an affordable price.
