This item arrived a bit scratched with a couple of dead pixels. I’m otherwise enjoying it, but it’s a slippery devil. Dropped it behind my nightstand once and dented the case, but it still seems to work fine. I just wish Apple would provide some software a little less crappy than iTunes.

This is the third iSkin product I have bought (I previously purchased a keyboard cover and a case for my 30gb Ipod) and I was very pleased. It keeps the form factor of the Ipod Touch but the silicon feels so good in your hands. I know that if I drop my ipod it will be safe because of the case.

My wife has had good luck with her iSkin for her iPod Nano, so this seemed like a good bet for my new iPod Touch. It’s been a home run – it does a great job of protecting it in daily use as my de facto PDA. But, maybe more surprisingly, the screen protection has held up wonderfully in not only the environment of being carried around in my winter coat pocket – but also through occasional use by young children. Happy to recommend this for iPod Touch protection!

Before my iPod touch, I owned a 4G 20 gig iPod with click wheel. The first case I bought for that one was an iSkin. It was a good investment for my old iPod and I find that this new version is pretty decent as well. The thought of dropping my iPod and damaging it terrifies me, so I try to look for shock absorption in any case I buy. While this case isn’t perfect in that regard, I feel that it does offer some drop protection. The best feature of this case is probably the unique screen protector – it’s antiglare AND it DOESN’T SHOW FINGERPRINTS! Amazing and well worth the purchase.
I also have the Belkin leather folio for the touch and, as much as I like that case for it’s shock absorbing/protective qualities, it seems to prevent me from touching the corners of the screen (bad for typing and playing with apps.)
If you want a case with a belt clip, don’t buy this one. iSkin belt clips have always been fragile and sort of useless.

I spent a while deciding whether I wanted a folio style case, a hard plastic case, or a skin for my itouch. I eventually decided I would forfeit some protection for sleeker size. The iskin is great – very easy to put on, includes a screen cover, and the belt clip is removable if you don’t want it to stay on. Coverings of power button & bottom button seem just as sensitive as when there was no skin on them. Opening on bottom for power & for headphones are flaps that you can push shut if you’re not using them. Opening for head phones accommodates L shaped headphone connectors (some seem to only accept the apple headphone plugs which are straight). Front top of skin has a small square cut out to sense ambient light – not really sure what that’s for but my itouch works flawlessly so I guess it works at whatever it does. Overall I think this was a great purchase, everyone who sees my itouch asks me about the skin!
