I can’t believe it’s not avail., anymore. great product.

I ordered this a few weeks ago to charge our itouches when we travel (plane ride for 6 hours non-stop). My son likes to play airplane games and he runs his battery down pretty quickly. I have charged his itouch at least seven or eight times with the external battery before recharging the external battery. I was very impressed with how well the external battery works. It take about 20 minutes to fully charge his itouch when not in use. You can also cont., to play on your itouch while the back-up battery is plugged in. I have also used it to charge my Verizon telephone.

The lights on the front of the device indicates when the battery is low (red), and they turn green when fully charged. The usb cord that came with the i-up that you use for the itouch has the little buttons on each size of the plug, so it is really secure when charging.

The size of the battery doesn’t bother me, because I can carry it in my backpack purse. Has a nice weight and it’s sleek looking.

    Love it!!!!

I bought this product about a week ago because I found myself on vacation for a few days with nothing but my car charger. It works quite well, though it’s much larger than the pictures suggest. On one charge, the battery fully charged my iPhone 3GS slightly over 3 times (334%, to be exact). Since this is a 6400mAh battery, I was expecting at least 4 charges, based on reviews of 4400mAh batteries that charge the iPhone about 3 times. Nonetheless, I’m pleased with the product. I bought a Case Logic portable hard drive case (the one that is approximately 5″ x 3″ x 1″), and it fits the battery perfectly. The battery is also packaged with an extra iPhone/iPod USB cord. If you’re only charging an iPhone/iPod, you won’t need to use the adaptors or retractable cord that is shown in the pictures.

I do a LOT of international travel and had ipods, PSPs, and my iphone die on me either during flight or in transit. I also use my iphone a lot and it has horrible battery life. The i-up is the missing element to making travel and the iphone like being near mains. I can make a trans-Atlantic or trans-Pacific flight with all my devices still charged. In a recent trip to Bangkok, my iphone never dropped any charge since I had it plugged into this. It is also very thin and fits into my laptop case very easily. The icing on the cake is that the unit itself can be charged from my laptop via USB. I carry ONE adaptor now (my laptop) and the i-up. Nirvana!!
