I don't know if I got a dud pair or what, but these earphones were absolutely horrible - it was actually painful to listen to music. The bass was decent, but any notes in a higher register were either muddled or too loud. I had an older pair of earphones, and in order to compare I played a song at a reasonable volume with the old ones, and then tried these afterward. I had to turn the volume down about 75% before it was at a level where I could actually tolerate it, however my ears will ringing long after the song had finished. They did work better with my Mp3 player for some reason, but the sound quality still wasn't very high. If you want to get good earphones for a low price I would suggest the Sennheiser CX300's. Although the wires are a little delicate, the sound is far superior to anything else I've tried within that price range.

Muffled sound - definitely lacking treble. Bass is strong, tight and punchy. Mids are somewhat lacking, but acceptable. I really wanted to like these - they look great, are comfortable to wear, have a sturdy build and isolate the sound niceley but the lack of high frequencies is a real show stopper. There are much better sounding headphones for less money (IE Sony MDR-E828LP for $7.50, but they are not in-ear). Audiophiles steer clear!

After reading many reviews for this product and others I decided to try this product out. Unfortunately none of the ear pieces fit in my ear properly. They are all too big. They all slide out of my ear more so then the original ear buds that came with the ipod. Once I took all the ear bud covers off the actual speakers fit in my ears and stay better then anything else, but I can't actually use them that way.

The sound is fair/good but I'm sure there are better ones out there. Personally I feel that I lost $20.00 on this order, but as you can see by other reviews it worked for other people. I would suggest looking at these in a store if you can before you make the purchase.

I bought these based on the great reviews here. Let me tell you, these earphones are heavy, no matter what I tried they would never stay in my ears. I tried changing the plastic earpieces, good luck if you try to do that. The smaller ones they sent, didn't fit over the earbuds and in the process of trying to get them over, I tore them, so then I had no luck of trying to make them stay in my ears. I also tried to jog with them and since they're so heavy and they already don't stay in your ears, its almost senseless. The other problem I encountered is that when you try to press them into your ears, your ears close shut from the difference in air pressure and no matter what you do, you can't get them unblocked, so I frequently had to jog with one ear almost not hearing.

Don't waiste your time and money on this, there are much better cheap choices at your local stores.

The ear buds kept falling out of my ears even after changing the sizing pieces. I recommend going to Target and buying a pair there for half the price...that's what I did after giving these away.
