Wanted to try a MP3 player. Had no idea how they worked. Bought the Coby 610 and it really suits me. Sounds great and once you learn how to use it is all I expected it to be and more. The price was right and I don’t need more memory. Almost gave the player four stars because the manual that comes with it is not clear nor complete and I still don’t understand all of the features.

I bought this for my son for his 8th birthday. I love the price and look, especally for a child. It works great & is user friendly. BUT I would like to add that the USB cable that came with it was faulty, after much frustration I switched to another cable I had it works fine. My other complaint is I e-mailed Coby’s customer service and have yet to receive a reply, 3 days later!!!

I loaded most of the music we had on this device and used about half of the available memory. I have a video on it, as well. I have the device in my car and enjoy the capability of having it plug into the car. I bought an optional car charger cord for it and it works fine except when I turn off the car, the device doesn’t shut off. I have been manually turning it off. Works great and we like it.. You can’t beat the price and performance of this device. The software was easy to load and easy to use from the device, although a non-techie may find it difficult to figure out that the software is on the device and you have to install it from the device once you hook it up to your computer. The instructions are way to vague. Other than that, it is a great device for the money.
Good picture quality for photos and video.
I wish there was a way to start the whole list of all music and have the device ‘remember’ where you left off the last time you played all.
Four stars from me on this.

All I want this for is my auto music do you think it will suffice as the car comes with an mp3 player jack and the majority said it was user friendly? As far as it scratching easily perhaps there is a case that can be purchased? Anyone know?
