I received this boombox as a gift for my birthday. Ever since I received it I loved it. Good radio reception, and EXCELLENT sound for CD’s. The Bass Boost button is a wonderful addition to the sound. Plus, the Bass Boost also works for radio; wow. It has been sitting on my night table forever, and it’s still working beautifully. I guess the other reviewers have thought that this can be taken everywhere and can still work. Fat chance. BTW, there is a wonderful handle on the top of the boombox, too. Great addition! Happy with this product, although everyone else seems to hate Memorex for some reason. 5 stars.

I bought this in May 2008 and have been pretty happy with it – primarily wanted to use my MP3 with it, and have played CD’s for countless hours in my work room. Unfortunately, now it won’t play the last bit of any CD I put in it – like the laser will only go just so far. Now I’m looking to replace it. Reception of Fm stations was always a bit static filled. It has gotten a ton of use, but apparently I’ve worn it out in less than a year.

What a piece of junk! I cannot believe Memorex has their name on it. I might as well have thrown my $30 in the trash can.
Radio will not lock onto a station, CD player skips if it plays at all.
This is the biggest POS I have bought in awhile……….

We kept this radio on our back porch for outdoor listening, in a covered place (we live in southern AZ). Worked fine for less than a year, then the sound became distorted. Our 2-year-old had cranked the volume to max a couple times, perhaps blowing the speakers, but she’s done this with other radios and they tolerated it. Would not purchase this product, or any other Memorex radio, in the future.

I used this at my backyard mini-ramp all last summer/fall with the line out cable to my ipod and it was totally cool. The sound was nice and loud and easily heard over the skating. Totally rad. The CD player took a hit and doesn’t work anymore, but it was to be expected. Who uses CD’s anyway? Cheapest line-out feature I could find.
